Welcome to Crater

Crater is free, open-source worship projection software for churches. It puts Bible verses, song lyrics, pictures, videos, PDFs and sermon slides on your projector, TV or live stream, all from one console that a volunteer can learn in an afternoon.

Crater starts quickly, stays light on memory and is built to run well on the modest laptops most churches already have in the sound booth.

What Crater does

  • Scripture. 14 Bible translations come built in. Type jn 3:16 or a few words you remember and the verse is ready to show. Select a range of verses, switch translation with one click, and project Strong's Greek and Hebrew definitions.
  • Songs. Keep your whole song library in one place, with bold, italic, underline and coloured lyrics. Search by title, author or any line of lyrics, even with a typo. Bring your songs across from EasyWorship 6 and 7.
  • Media. Show pictures, videos and PDF pages, with per-item crop, fit, loop and mute.
  • Presentations. Write sermon slides and speaker notes right inside Crater. The congregation sees the slides and the preacher sees the notes on a stage monitor.
  • Themes. Design how every slide looks in a full visual editor with layers, gradients, shadows and your own fonts. You can share a theme with another church as a single file, or have an AI assistant draft one for you.
  • Schedules. Plan the whole order of service during the week. Crater saves as you go, and you can keep a saved schedule for every Sunday.
  • Several screens at once. Send the service to the projector, a stage monitor for the band or preacher, and extra mirror screens, each on its own display.
  • Live streaming. Send exactly what is on the wall to OBS, vMix or any NDI receiver over your network, with no capture card.
  • Your language. The console is available in 21 languages.
